Well, how excellent is that? Astrologer Joni Ross writes that the next New Moon will occur on Monday, August 9th and it will be in the sign of Leo. According to Joni, with this new moon, we will “write, direct and star in our own life story.” ! As someone who is writing a book and starting a new venture (more on that to come!), I consider this good news!

For a refresher on the Moon, I looked to Universe Today which informed me that “the Moon takes approximately 29 days to complete the cycle from new moon to full moon and then back to new moon again. … A new moon occurs when the Earth, Sun and Moon are lined up so that the Moon is directly in between the Earth and the Sun.”

In astrology, the arrival of the new and full moon has a significant influence on our day-to-day lives. The new moon is considered a good time to begin an endeavor. Of this upcoming new moon, Joni writes:
