Luma was a gourmet + organic macrobiotic restaurant on Ninth Avenue in Chelsea in the '90's. The atmosphere was upscale yet comfortable, the food simple and pure. It was basically ahead of its time. It had a certain spirit - one I hope to capture on this blog which will focus on places and people in NYC (the Village), Brooklyn and beyond.
